The house

Bois 1920 is a Tuscan artisanal house whose origins trace back to 1920 in Tuscany (Italy), where the family business began in woodworking and furniture craft. The transition to perfumery came later, drawing on the same material culture and the aromatic identity of the Tuscan landscape. The house relaunched its fragrance activity in the early 2000s, releasing compositions that drew on natural Tuscan ingredients alongside more structured perfumery materials.

Bois 1920 occupies a specific position within Italian artisanal niche perfumery: the house works with a small number of perfumers, favors natural raw materials, and maintains a production model centered on limited batches and direct distribution through specialist retailers. The olfactive direction tends toward warm, earthy and resinous profiles that reference the landscape and craft traditions of Tuscany.

On Osmetheca, Bois 1920 is represented by one fragrance: Real Patchouly (2005), signed by Enzo Galardi, a patchouli-centered composition that became a reference point for naturalistic patchouli treatments in artisanal Italian perfumery.
