Perfumes by D.S. & Durga

The house

D.S. & Durga was founded in 2007 in Brooklyn, New York (United States) by David Seth Moltz and Kavi Ahuja Moltz. The house operates as an independent artisanal studio with a strong narrative approach: each composition is built around a specific concept, place or story, developed by David Seth Moltz as both perfumer and creative director.

The house is part of the wave of American niche perfumery that developed in New York and Los Angeles during the 2000s and 2010s, distinct from the European traditions in its use of literary and cultural references drawn from American subcultures and natural American landscapes. D.S. & Durga distributes internationally through specialist niche retail while maintaining direct-to-consumer sales.

On Osmetheca, D.S. & Durga is represented by one fragrance: Bowmakers (2013), signed by David Seth Moltz. The composition draws on the craft workshop environment of instrument makers: rosin, wood shavings and lacquer abstract materials combined into a dry woody resinous composition.
