The house

Le Labo was founded in 2006 in New York (United States) by Fabrice Penot and Eddie Roschi. The house built its identity around a made-to-order model, minimal packaging and a strong narrative around transparency and naturals. Each fragrance is named after a key ingredient followed by the number of components in the formula, a format that became a recognizable industry shorthand.

Le Labo was acquired by Este Lauder Companies in 2014. The house retained its visual identity and its flagship Santal 33, composed by Frank Voelkl, became one of the most commercially dominant niche-adjacent fragrances of the 2010s, recognized for its cedar-violet sandalwood structure and its presence across hospitality and retail settings.

On Osmetheca, Le Labo is represented by one fragrance: Santal 33 (2011), composed by Frank Voelkl, a woody musk sandalwood that became a cultural reference in niche perfumery distribution.
