The house

Creed was founded in 1760 in London (United Kingdom) by James Henry Creed as a tailor and glover. The house transitioned progressively toward perfumery through the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, maintaining a family ownership structure across multiple generations. The house relocated its creative center to Paris (France) during the twentieth century while retaining its British founding narrative.

Creed positions itself as a bespoke house with royal warrants and private commissions woven into its founding mythology. The contemporary catalogue is the work of Olivier Creed and his son Erwin Creed, with external perfumers such as Pierre Negrin contributing to specific compositions. The house attracted broad niche perfumery attention from the 1990s onward through selective distribution in specialist retail.

On Osmetheca, Creed is represented by one fragrance: Aventus (2010), signed by Olivier Creed, Erwin Creed and Pierre Negrin. This fruity chypre built around pineapple, birch and musk became one of the most discussed and widely distributed niche releases of the decade.
