The house
Escentric Molecules was founded in 2006 in Berlin (Germany) by perfumer Geza Schoen. The house built its concept around a direct editorial statement about synthetic molecules in contemporary perfumery: the first two releases, Molecule 01 and Escentric 01, isolated the synthetic molecule Iso E Super and presented it first alone, then in a composition built specifically to showcase its behavior on skin.
The house has expanded the concept through subsequent pairs of releases, each focused on a different single molecule. Geza Schoen signs the full catalogue. The transparency about synthetic materials and the absence of conventional luxury codes in packaging and communication established Escentric Molecules as a reference point for conceptual niche perfumery in the 2000s.
On Osmetheca, Escentric Molecules is represented by one fragrance: Molecule 01 (2006), signed by Geza Schoen. This single-molecule composition of Iso E Super became one of the most widely discussed launches of the 2000s for its skin-amplifying, projection-variable behavior. The house page for Escentric Molecules is not yet published on Osmetheca.
