The house

Ex Nihilo was founded in 2013 in Paris (France) by three partners: Sylvie Loday, Olivier Royere and Nicolas Mirzayantz. The house positioned itself at the intersection of haute parfumerie and technological personalization: the flagship concept includes in-store blending stations where certain compositions can be adjusted and personalized for individual clients.

The house works with external perfumers including Quentin Bisch, Cecile Zarokian, Alienor Massenet and others. The catalogue covers a broad range of olfactive territories from transparent florals to dense orientals, with each composition given a somewhat cryptic title.

On Osmetheca, Ex Nihilo is represented by one fragrance: Fleur Narcotique (2014), signed by Quentin Bisch. This peony-white flower composition blended with lychee and woody musks became one of the more visible launches of the early Ex Nihilo catalogue. The house page for Ex Nihilo is not yet published on Osmetheca.
