Quick answers
History of the house
Roja Parfums was founded in 2011 in London (United Kingdom) by Roja Dove, a British perfumer who had previously spent close to two decades at Guerlain. The house opened in July 2011 with a tight initial set of compositions.
Roja Dove joined the French house Guerlain in 1981 and remained with the company for nearly twenty years. He became the first non-family member to hold the position of Global Ambassador for Guerlain and was given the title Professeur de Parfums, a function attached to the transmission of perfume culture to clients of the haute parfumerie segment.
After leaving Guerlain at the start of the 2000s, Dove built his own structure in two steps. He first set up RDPR, a consultancy and editorial vehicle, and in 2004 he opened the Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie on the sixth floor of the London department store Harrods, in partnership with Urban Retreat. The boutique was conceived as a curated space dedicated to high-end and historical compositions.
The founding of the eponymous house in 2011 followed a stated desire to leave a lasting body of work under his own name. The early catalog was structured around classical European registers, with a chypre tribute to Sergei Diaghilev released in the same year as the launch. The house expanded quickly through high-end retail in London, Paris and the Middle East, and grew its catalog to more than one hundred compositions across the first decade.
In September 2026 Roja Parfums was acquired by Extravaganza Beauty, a Middle Eastern beauty group, and Roja Dove moved into a consulting role with the house he founded. The flagship boutique is at 4 Burlington Arcade, in the Mayfair district of London.
The collections
A haute-perfumery house founded by Roja Dove in Mayfair in 2011 and now styled Roja London, Roja Parfums arranges its catalog into clearly defined collections, each mapping to an olfactory territory and a level of exclusivity. What binds them is a single standard: perfume conceived like a jewel, long composed by Roja Dove himself, built on precious natural materials and presented in flacons worked like objects of fine jewelry. That author's signature, rare in contemporary niche perfumery, runs through every range below.
Art Collection
The Art Collection gathers eaux de parfum conceived as tributes to art, cities and great moments in history. It is the most narrative side of the repertoire, where each bottle reads like an olfactory painting. Burlington 1819, a nod to the house's historic London address in the Burlington Arcade, is a representative expression. The collection reflects Roja Dove's taste for culture and the memory of places, and gives the catalog its most contemplative register.
Aoud Collection
The Aoud Collection is devoted to oud, a material Roja Dove reimagines as a series of "Arabian tales" presented in Parfum concentration, the richest the house offers. It runs to ten variations pairing oud with amber, rose, saffron and leather, and forms the most Middle Eastern side of the house, in step with its strong distribution across the Gulf. Amber Aoud, an amber-woody accord, and Enigma Aoud are standout pieces. The line treats oud as a signature in its own right rather than one note among many.
Prestige Collection
The Prestige Collection is the house's haute-perfumery summit, built on the rarest materials and crowned with the signature violet crystal. This is where the opulence Roja Parfums lays claim to reaches its peak, in dense compositions conceived as exceptional pieces. Roja, the founder's personal scent, and Parfum de la Nuit embody its absolute exclusivity. The collection speaks to collectors for whom the flacon is as much a precious object as a perfume.
Elysium Collection
Born with Elysium Pour Homme in 2017, the Elysium Collection introduced a fresh, citrus-led register that widened the house's audience beyond its opulent classics. Built on citrus, vetiver and ambergris, it has become one of Roja Parfums' most recognisable worlds and one of its most frequently cited gateways. Declined for both men and women, it shows that the house can venture well beyond its amber and historicist territory. It is now a pillar of its international reputation.
Isola Collection
The Isola Collection is the most recent range, conceived as a set of "olfactory postcards" from island and Mediterranean escapes. Its register is solar and luminous, the opposite of the deep ambers that built the house's reputation. Isola Blu and Oceania capture its spirit, between marine freshness and sun-warmed materials. The collection gives the catalog its most summery, most accessible mood, without giving up the house's exacting standard of materials.
Notable perfumes
The Roja Parfums catalog counts more than one hundred compositions, organized across the Roja London main line, the Aoud collection and a small set of limited editions. The eight releases below are all credited to Roja Dove.

Olfactory signature
Roja Parfums builds its signature around a classical European writing reinterpreted at a heavy concentration. The compositions draw on the great historical registers of French and British perfumery, with marked recourse to the chypre, the aromatic fougere, the oriental amber and the floral aldehydic, and they are constructed with a density of natural materials that the house presents as a continuation of its founder's Guerlain years.
A second structural axis is the recurring use of oud. The Aoud collection, a line of ten compositions, pairs the material with amber, rose, saffron and leather in arrangements that reflect the strong distribution of the house in the Middle East and the personal interest of Roja Dove in the raw material. The collection is one of the most extensive oud lines built by a Western niche perfume house.
The house also positions itself on the haute perfumery segment, of which it calls itself a pioneer. The compositions are presented in heavy crystal flacons, several of which have historically been produced by Lalique, and they sit at price points that have remained well above the prestige average since the launch. Olfactory density, classical structure, oud as a recurring material and a luxury object grammar are the four pillars of the signature.
