Quick answers
History
Filippo Sorcinelli's XSè collection means to be a social inquiry: a perfume can also observe human urges. Each fragrance takes a scene and its atmosphere as its subject, without judgment.
Cyber-Sex sets to scent what the house describes as an imaginative relaxation, the sum of intimate ideas of self-activation and well-being, a filterless correspondence held behind the wall of one's own environmental radius. The house evokes the dense noise of a computer fan, spreading olfactory sounds of electronics over a skin run through by the hormonal shifts of desire.
Sorcinelli states it as a harmonic evolution. The subject is a fresh citrus and green resin: mandarin, pink grapefruit, juniper berries, neroli. The counter-subject is aromatic and floral: rosemary flowers, lavender, cyclamen, almond blossoms, spices. The tail sets it on a soft, woody base: vanilla bean, tonka bean, ambrette, vetiver, precious woods, cedar.
The result is a contemporary aromatic woody, fresh on top and enveloping at the base. Lavender and rosemary give it a classic, almost fougère bearing, which vanilla and tonka warm. It is the most legible piece of XSè, the one that wears most easily day to day.
Olfactory pyramid
Filippo Sorcinelli is an organist; he does not conceive his perfumes as a pyramid of volatility but as a score. Cyber-Sex is therefore stated in three movements, subject, counter-subject and tail, exactly as the house publishes them.
The through-line is the warm-cold contrast: citruses and juniper set the freshness, rosemary and lavender structure it, and the tail of vanilla, tonka and vetiver warms it.
Olfactory profile
Cyber-Sex opens on a citrus freshness: mandarin, pink grapefruit and neroli, pulled taut by a green juniper-berry resin. The entry is bright, clean, almost bracing.
The heart gives it its aromatic bearing: rosemary flowers and lavender draw a classic, almost fougère line, softened by aquatic cyclamen and almond blossoms, with a touch of spice. This is the layer that makes Cyber-Sex so easy to wear.
The tail warms it all: vanilla bean and tonka bean bring an amber softness, ambrette a vegetal musk, vetiver and cedar a dry, woody base. Longevity is that of an extrait, long and close to the skin; the sillage is fresh then enveloping. An aromatic woody for everyday, in any season.
