Quick answers
History
In MEMENTO, Filippo Sorcinelli restores through smell the drawers of sacristies he has known as an organist. Rosa Fiorita is the sacristy of the basilica of Santa Rita da Cascia, in Umbria, and the only one of the set devoted not to incense but to the rose.
On the central beam of the basilica's facade, a phrase is carved like a greeting: “Hail Rita, vessel of love, sorrowful bride of Christ, you are born of the thorns of the Saviour, beautiful as a rose.” The olfactory memory points to a precise episode: in January 1457, ill in her monastic cell in Cascia, Rita asked a cousin to bring her a rose from Roccaporena, from her own land. Tradition holds that God granted the wish and that the relative could pick for her a rose bloomed in the dead of winter, among the snow.
This story lights a choice opposite to that of Rosa Nigra, the house's other rose: where Rosa Nigra sang the absent rose, the one you never smell, Rosa Fiorita sings the rose fully present, bloomed against all season. Sorcinelli states it as a harmonic evolution: the subject is a Damask rose absolute coated in honey, the counter-subject extends it with May rose, lily of the valley and iris, the tail signs it with a green geranium.
The house releases it as an extrait de parfum, unisex, in the line of the MEMENTO collection presented in 2024. It is the most floral and warmest sheet of the set, a rose of devotion rather than of coquetry.
Harmonic evolution
Filippo Sorcinelli is an organist; he does not conceive his perfumes as a pyramid of volatility but as a score. Rosa Fiorita is therefore stated in three movements, subject, counter-subject and tail, exactly as the house publishes them.
The through-line is the rose: Damask absolute and honey make it a warm, full flower, May rose, lily of the valley and iris open it in freshness, and the closing geranium gives it its green edge.
Olfactory profile
Rosa Fiorita opens on a frank, generous rose: the Damask rose absolute unfolds at once a full, jammy flower, which honey wraps in an amber sweetness. This is far from the cold, mineral rose; it is a rose in bloom, the one that opens despite the snow.
The heart widens its spectrum: May rose brings freshness, lily of the valley a tender spring green, iris a soft powder that tempers the honey. This layer keeps the rose from turning to syrup and gives it its light.
The tail signs it with a green geranium, a little peppery, rosy, extending the flower while cooling it. Longevity is that of an extrait, long and close to the skin; the sillage stays round and enveloping, a rose of skin more than of crowds.

Key characteristics
When and where to wear
Rosa Fiorita is a rose for mid-seasons and mild weather. Its warm, honeyed flower blooms in spring and autumn and bears sweetness better than the collection's incenses; it can feel rich in full heat, when it is best applied with restraint. It is a fragrance of skin, intimate and enveloping.
