History
MEMENTO is the collection of sacristies: sacred places Filippo Sorcinelli has come to know through his work as an organist. Sacristie des Arbres breaks the rule. It is the only fragrance of the set drawn not from a physical place but from a mental one: the spot where Sorcinelli's mind withdraws when it needs to meditate and find rest.
The perfumer speaks of it as an ideal casket of the senses, a centuries-old wood. “A wood is a place rich in wisdom and mystery, where nature seems to speak through its quiet and its beauty. There you must listen in order to listen to yourself, in connection with the trees, trying to understand their silent lessons.” The sacristy is no longer a room of stone but an inner clearing.
Sorcinelli states it as a harmonic evolution. The subject sets a resinous, warm base through vanilla, vetiver, benzoin, resin incense, ambrette and amber. The counter-subject anchors it in wood with Damask rose and guaiac wood. The tail opens the window of the undergrowth: pine essence, Virginia cedar, incense and a touch of mint, like the cold air between the trunks.
The house releases it as an extrait de parfum, unisex, in the line of the MEMENTO collection presented in 2024. It is a woody for meditation, halfway between sacristy incense and the green freshness of the forest.

Filippo Sorcinelli is an organist; he does not conceive his perfumes as a pyramid of volatility but as a score. Sacristie des Arbres is therefore stated in three movements, subject, counter-subject and tail, exactly as the house publishes them.
The through-line is living wood: vanilla and resins hold the warmth of the base, guaiac and rose anchor it to the trunk, and the tail of pine, incense and mint sends the cold air of the undergrowth through it.
Olfactory profile
Sacristie des Arbres opens on a resinous, warm base, where vanilla, benzoin and amber compose a balsamic foundation that vetiver lightly smokes. You enter a closed, mild wood, a clearing rather than a nave.
The heart anchors the perfume in wood: guaiac brings its soft, milky smoke, Damask rose a discreet floral depth that keeps the resin from closing in. This is the layer that gives the sacristy its density of trunk and bark.
The tail opens the window: pine essence unfurls its green resin, cedar dries the wood, incense rises and a touch of mint lets through a cold air, the kind that moves between trees at dawn. Longevity is that of an extrait, long and close to the skin; the sillage stays hushed, meditative rather than demonstrative.
