Ultra is a perfume by Hiram Green, released in 2025 and handmade in Gouda, the Netherlands, from 100% natural materials like the whole collection. Its starting point is the 1980s : bold fashion and shoulder pads, synth music, neon interiors, a decade of energy, confidence and relentless optimism.
At the heart of that evocation, narcissus shines, rich and radiant, the vibrant spirit of the era. Yet the flower’s very name and its narcotic scent also summon a darker side, the Greek myth of Narcissus in love with his own reflection. Ultra holds this tension, between the solar exuberance of the 1980s and the shadow cast by narcissus, between the bright green top and the animalic base of leather and tobacco.
The centerpiece is a narcissus absolute whose flowers are harvested in Lozère, France, extracted with a 100% bio-sourced, biodegradable solvent, a first of its kind : absolutes are usually obtained with synthetic solvents. Around it, ylang-ylang oil comes from the Comoros, under ethical and sustainable conditions with strict traceability, while labdanum resinoid from the Mediterranean basin anchors the base. A rare and costly material, narcissus absolute reflects how the house composes, slowly and in small batches, at the pace natural materials impose.
Olfactory pyramid
The house gives a palette of materials rather than a formal pyramid. The layering below follows the progression described in the press kit and on the official site, from the green floral top to the leathery base.
The movement runs from the luminous green of neroli and ylang-ylang to the intoxicating richness of narcissus, before leather, hay and tobacco close the composition on a dry, animalic base. The tobacco and hay accents, native to narcissus absolute, bridge the floral heart and the resinous base.

The olfactory profile of Ultra lives in this contrast : an opulent green floral, at once radiant and dark, in which narcissus unfolds its clean green top before revealing its tobacco and hay facets.
