History
Aqua Universalis is among the very first creations of the house, born the same year it was, in 2009. Francis Kurkdjian took the classic eau de Cologne and reworked it in a modern, personal way, keeping its freshness while giving it a signature of its own.
The house describes it as an airy glow, the scent of freshly washed and pressed linen: bergamot and lemon set the citrus light, lily of the valley and Mexican orange blossom bring a floral clarity, and musks close on a soft, clean-skin feel. A simple sense of well-being, meant to unite women and men.
It has become one of the house's pillars, offered as the original eau de toilette and then, in 2021, as the concentrated Cologne forte version. The eau de toilette keeps its first calling: a clean, easy freshness worn like fresh laundry.
