History and inspiration
Kashmir belongs to La Route de la Soie, the Silk Road collection Ormonde Jayne launched in October 2020 and has continued to expand. Added in 2024, it takes its name from Kashmir, the mountain region celebrated for its wool, saffron and cedar, and turns those associations into a dense, comforting wood.
It opens on a spiced, leathery flourish of bergamot, saffron, pink pepper, coriander and cardamom, then turns to a floral heart of iris, jasmine, rose and an imagined blue poppy accord and Himalayan fir. The base is unusually deep, layering sandalwood, Himalayan deodar, cashmeran, benzoin, vanilla, patchouli, incense and myrrh into a long, resinous drydown.

Scent profile
The signature of Kashmir is its creamy spiced wood. The saffron brings a warm, leathery glow, the sandalwood and deodar add a soft, milky woodiness, and the incense and myrrh give the base a meditative, resinous depth.
On skin it is warm and enveloping, the spices softened by the florals and the woods kept creamy rather than dry. It projects gently and lasts well, settling into a soft, incense-laced wood.
