History
Ligno, wood in Esperanto, stages a meeting the brochure describes as alchemical: sulfurous patchouli facing the very pheromonal ambergris. From that collision, the house says, is born a potion with aphrodisiac promises rather than a simple perfume.
Vanina Muracciole opens on an aromatic, leathery top, bergamot, saffron and sage, then lays down a heart of cistus-rose, ambergris and balsam fir. The base marries patchouli, vanilla-tonka and the enigmatic musks base: amber sits, the house says, at the very heart of the creation.
Launched in 2019, Ligno extends the woody vein of Vespero and Ambra, but with a stronger animalic charge thanks to the ambergris. It is one of the most sensual perfumes of the house, openly conceived for seduction.

Ligno opens on a dry, spicy top: sage and saffron lay down an aromatic, leathery thread, bergamot brings a streak of light quickly absorbed. You know at once the perfume will play material rather than freshness.
The heart is where the meeting happens: ambergris, mineral and pheromonal, rubs against patchouli, while cistus-rose and balsam fir add resin and flower. This is the aphrodisiac layer, where the perfume becomes potion.
The base of patchouli, vanilla-tonka and enigmatic musks roots the whole in a warm, animalic skin. Wear is excellent, the trail sensual. A woody musk for the cold season, unisex, to wear at night or to seduce.
