Launched in 2022, Pioggia Moderata is the middle panel of the rain triptych inside Atmosphere d'Emotion, Filippo Sorcinelli's weather collection. Where Pioggia Forte stages a downpour and Pioggia Debole a light drizzle, this one holds the steady, moderate rain in between.
The house text reads as a walking poem: the nostalgia of finding yourself walking through Milan while your own steps draw your emotions on the wet road. The rain here belongs to the solitary figure in the existential metropolis of noise, caught between the asphalt and its own liquid footprints.
Sorcinelli, an organist, writes the formula as a harmonic evolution rather than a volatility pyramid. The subject pairs bergamot, powdery iris and a marine note with myrtle and nutmeg. The counter-subject brings jasmine, cloves, precious woods and earthy complexes, and the tail settles it on musk, thyme, tonka bean, labdanum, patchouli and sandalwood.

The tail warms the rain: musk and tonka bean envelop, labdanum and patchouli bring earth and resin, sandalwood a woody softness, and thyme a dry thread.
