Quick answers
History
Stælios contracts two figures, Stallion and Helios, the sun god: a horse of fire, powerful, elegant and racy, as fiery as the sun. The perfume is conceived as the olfactory embodiment of that image, saturated with natural elements and volumising ingredients to generate an eye-catching trail and a long-lasting hold.
Its inspiration lies in a rare material. A merchant ship sailing from Saint Petersburg to Genoa, its holds overflowing with Russian reindeer leather, was shipwrecked in the 18th century; more than two centuries later, a French tannery reproduced the special quality of that stock. A few strips of this precious purple leather, given to Pierre Guillaume, exude a warm, delicate scent, an animal elegance. This material became the heart of the perfume.
The composition unfolds an incandescent violet wood, saturated with woody and floral notes. A spiced liquor of davana and Ashanti pepper leaves opens on a fruity, smoky warmth; Russian leather and precious woods close the trail on a deep, animal elegance, the smell of luxury.
Stælios belongs to the house’s special-edition perfumes, rich in dozens of ingredients, where Pierre Guillaume seeks power and signature rather than discretion.
Olfactory pyramid
Stælios unfolds in three movements, from the spiced liquor to the deep leather.
The thread is incandescence: a violet wood heated white, draped in leather.
Olfactory profile
Stælios is a floral leather rather than a dry one. Davana and Ashanti pepper give it a fruity, spicy, almost liquorous attack; violet wood brings a radiant floral heart that softens the leather without extinguishing it.
Its signature is Russian leather, warm, delicate and precious, which closes the composition on an elegant animality. It is a fragrance of character, with a powerful trail and long hold, made to leave a mark.
