History

Tobacco Chocolat joins the Private Blend, Tom Ford's niche line, nineteen years after the founding success of Tobacco Vanille. Here the house explores another side of tobacco: not honey and spice this time, but the warm bitterness of dark chocolate.

The technical move sits in a signature accord, the cocoa smoke: Daniela Andrier co-distills slowly roasted tobacco leaves and pure dark chocolate to obtain a material that is at once toasted, smoky and cocoa-rich. Around it, orange and akigalawood bring the flash, Peru balsam and patchouli the depth.

Announced for August 2026, Tobacco Chocolat follows the Private Blend logic: rich materials, a bottle offered up to the large 250 ml size, and a signature built for the cold season and the evening.

Olfactory profile

Tobacco Chocolat opens less dark than expected: orange and akigalawood set a citrus, peppery flash that airs the entry and holds off the sweetness.

The heart states the subject: cacao and dark chocolate, bitter and toasted rather than sweet, melt into the tobacco through the cocoa smoke accord. This is a grown-up gourmand, where the chocolate keeps its bitterness and the tobacco its dryness.

The base warms and rounds it out: Peru balsam, Ambrofix and patchouli give the amber, woody breadth typical of the Private Blend. Longevity is long, the sillage generous. A unisex amber gourmand for the cold season, to wear at night.
