History
Grand Soir arrived in 2016 as the nocturnal counterpart to Petit Matin: two eaux de parfum conceived as a day-and-night olfactory wardrobe. Where Petit Matin catches the freshness of dawn, Grand Soir sinks into the warmth of a Parisian night.
Francis Kurkdjian describes an endless evening in the city, when the bridges and monuments glow against the sky. To render it, he pushes an amber accord to full volume: cistus labdanum lays down a dark resin, Siam benzoin and tonka bean bring a honeyed sweetness, and vanilla rounds it all off.
The choice is a nearly linear amber, without detours: the composition settles quickly and lasts, with a dense, enveloping sillage. It has become one of the house's pillars, often named among the great contemporary ambers.

Grand Soir opens warm already: cistus labdanum sets a deep ambery resin, kept from turning syrupy by lavandin and a touch of cinnamon. The effect is enveloping within the first minutes.
The heart plays no rupture: it extends the amber, and Siam benzoin slips in a honeyed, balsamic facet. This is a scent of continuity more than contrast, which explains its immediate legibility.
The base closes on tonka bean and vanilla, sweet without being gourmand. Longevity is excellent and the sillage wide: Grand Soir is an evening amber for the cold season, worn like a warm coat.
