Quick answers
History
Filippo Sorcinelli's XSè collection means to be a social inquiry: a perfume can also observe human urges. Each fragrance takes a scene and its atmosphere as its subject, without judgment.
Popper-pop sets to scent what the house describes as the astonishing smell of euphoria, a short but intense effect that shakes the head and the imagination. Thirty seconds of sensory "psychedelia," of ascents and descents toward unexpected colors and geometric patterns far from lucid, everyday experience.
Sorcinelli states it as a harmonic evolution. The subject is sparkling and fruity: red apple, nashi pear, sweet almond, mint leaves. The counter-subject flowers it with a light whiteness: pittosporum, orchid, magnolia, davana. The tail closes it on a bright woody: coniferous wood, aromatic woods.
The result is a pop fruity floral, lighter and more solar than the other XSè pieces. It is the bright breath of the collection, a perfume of speed and color, true to its subject.
Olfactory pyramid
Filippo Sorcinelli is an organist; he does not conceive his perfumes as a pyramid of volatility but as a score. Popper-pop is therefore stated in three movements, subject, counter-subject and tail, exactly as the house publishes them.
The through-line is speed: apple and nashi pear set the fruity sparkle, pittosporum and magnolia flower it, and the tail of coniferous wood closes the euphoria on a bright note.
Olfactory profile
Popper-pop opens on a fruity burst: crisp red apple, juicy nashi pear, sweet almond and mint leaves give a sparkling, almost tart entry. It is the most solar of the XSè pieces.
The heart flowers it with a light whiteness: pittosporum brings a honeyed note, orchid a velvet, magnolia a lemony freshness, davana a fruity floral. The perfume stays light, never heady, true to its idea of speed.
The tail is a bright woody: coniferous wood and aromatic woods close the fruit on a dry, resinous note. Longevity is more moderate than the other XSè, sized to a perfume of sparkle; the sillage is fresh and enveloping. A fruity floral for daytime and fine weather.

When and where to wear
Popper-pop is a solar fruity floral, at ease in spring and summer. Its apple and nashi pear sparkle comes alive in the heat, while its woody tail holds it in the mid-seasons. It is a perfume of daytime and fine weather more than of a winter evening.
