Panna Sotto!

The sixth fragrance of the X SÉ collection, Panna Sotto! is the memory of an ice-cream cone: chocolate, hazelnut and lemon on the surface and, hidden at the bottom, the cold whipped cream that bursts at the last bite. A sweetness that endures, a game that ends well.

History

Panna Sotto! shifts register. After the liturgical incenses and the orientals of memory, Filippo Sorcinelli signs a mischievous gourmand here, the sixth chapter of the X SÉ collection, which he presents as an inquiry into the most hidden and intimate moments of the human soul. The fragrance launched on May 6, 2026 at the Milan store container_zerouno.

The name comes from an Italian childhood ritual. At the ice-cream counter, you choose your cone, you call out your flavors, chocolate, hazelnut, lemon, then, almost forgotten, you cry “panna sotto!,” cream underneath. The reward is hidden at the bottom: a cold, intense whipped cream that bursts at the last bite, with the crunch of the wafer.

The fragrance tells this layered construction. The subject is the revelation, a cold whipped cream, luminous and airy, held by vanilla and framed by a white honey of clean sweetness. The counter-subject thickens the memory, hazelnut cream, bitter cocoa, patchouli and a milky, almost childlike note. The tail brings back the freshness, crunchy wafer, citrus sorbet and blackcurrant, the instant of the first taste.

Panna Sotto! is offered as an extrait de parfum, in a 30 ml bottle, now as a spray, the X SÉ collection having abandoned the roll-on with this launch. It is a gourmand that celebrates youth without nostalgia, the opposite of the rest of the Sorcinelli catalogue. We follow the house's published list of materials here.

Olfactory pyramid

Like the house's other compositions, Panna Sotto! is stated as a score, subject, counter-subject and tail, exactly as the house publishes it: a memory built in layers.

Subject
Cold whipped creamairy milkiness
Vanillasoft warmth
White honeyclean sweetness
Counter-subject
Hazelnut creamround gourmand
Bitter cocoadeep chocolate
Patchouliearthy wood
Milky notechildlike tenderness
Tail

The axis is surprise: a cold, luminous cream at the head of the story, a chocolatey, milky heart, and a fresh, crunchy tail that replays the instant of the first taste.

Olfactory profile

Panna Sotto! opens surprisingly fresh for a gourmand. The cold whipped cream dominates, airy and luminous, softened by vanilla and white honey. You are far from heavy, sugary gourmands: here, the cream is iced, almost light, as if straight out of the tub.

The heart thickens the sweetness. Hazelnut cream brings a warm roundness, bitter cocoa a depth and a shadow, patchouli ties the sweetness to the earth, and a milky note adds a childlike tenderness, that of ice cream melting slowly. This is the most comforting layer.

The tail revives the freshness. The crunchy wafer brings a golden, biscuity accord, the citrus sorbet a solar brightness, the blackcurrant a dark, fruity vibration. Longevity stays reasonable, in keeping with a playful skin scent, to be worn in mild weather or for the simple pleasure of a memory.
