Sadonaso was released in 2021 by Nasomatto, the Italian perfume house founded in 2007 by perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, based in Amsterdam (Netherlands), where he keeps his lab and offices. The name is a portmanteau that braids an unapologetic sensorial register with the Nasomatto root, the Italian for crazy nose Gualtieri uses as a programmatic statement on creative freedom. The composition lands in the same intimate territory opened by Nudiflorum a few years earlier.

The narrative intention faces what happens behind closed doors. Nasomatto pins Sadonaso to a single statement: there is no purpose in life beyond the pleasure of the senses. The house frames the perfume as the trace of a chase after an unknown desire, materialised on skin that accepts a private indulgence. The position belongs to a conceptual catalogue that treats personal sensuality as a legitimate editorial subject, rather than as marketing provocation.
